Have you recently bagged
your 98 and up S-Series X-Cab pickup? Have you ever wondered why
other year S's are lower than yours?
If your answers are YES
then it is probably because your ride has a crossmember, for the
carrier bearing, that hangs below the frame. There are two ways to
fix the problem. One is to drag the crossmember until it is even
with the frame (which could take years) or you could install a custom
made crossmember replacement manufactured by Sportruck Specialties of
Carson, CA.
The part is around $120
bucks and with the right tools installs in about an hour. It
allowed our S-Series to get another inch closer to the pavement so it
could truly lay frame. Replacements are also made for 89-95 Toyota
pickups.
Now just sit back and check
out just how easy it is to install... TA
